How Do Dogs Communicate?

Sociology, psychology, communications (public relations, marketing, advertising) are disciplines that offer innumerable studies and findings about how and why we communicate...rather than resorting to symbolic interpretations and critical analyses, however, sometimes those answers are right at our feet – our pets. Animals communicate much the same way people do – recognizing tone, inflection, nonverbal cues, positive/negative energies, instinct and even languages.

In fact, my English Lab, Presley (aka “Poopie”), knows at least 32 words in the English language...either he’s a little slow, or he's smart enough to hide his fluency.

Presley understands sit, stay, okay, go to your room, bedtime, no, come here, ball, toy, food, walk, kisses, joey, uncle rocky, mommy, where, get, shake, down, good boy, bad boy, potty, gentle, wet, drop it, incoming! ......Oh, if life was this simple.
